Ingredients:

Package of Cheshire Pork Bratwurst
1 medium onion - halved and sliced
2 Tbsp. butter
2 tsp. Caraway seeds
1 bottle of light beer
3 c. chicken or vegetable stock
4 cups sauerkraut

Directions:

Pour beer and the stock into a small stockpot. Place the bratwursts in the pot. Turn heat to medium and bring to a simmer.

Simmer the bratwursts for 15 minutes. Remove from the pan and set aside.

Put the butter in a skillet over medium high heat. Add the onions and sauté for 10-15 minutes until golden. Remove from the pan.

Add the bratwursts to the pan and return to the heat. Cook for about 10-12 minutes turning frequently to get an even caramelized sear on the sausages.

Once the bratwursts are done cooking, remove them from the skillet. Place the sauerkraut, onions, and caraway seeds in the skillet. Stir to combine.

Place the bratwursts in the sauerkraut and onion mixture. Cover and cook on medium heat for about 5-7 minutes.

Serve with German mustard and German beer!
